Some people are happy to go on holiday and sleep in a tent,Hotel in Florence: when class and exclusivity meet Articles some can’t even imagine to travel without booking a very single detail of the trip in advance. If you are going to visit the region capital, the amazing jewel of Tuscany, it’s definitely better to book your hotel in Florence in advance.

Imagine you have just a few days to explore the city: even if you are one of those people who plan every single detail months before leaving, time is time and you can’t fight it. Let’s say you arrive in Florence with a very clear idea of the things you want to see: if you don’t want to leave without regrets, you need at least to spend three days there, and also in that case you are going to miss a lot of things. And since you may need to concentrate the museums, the streets, the buildings, the artworks as possible as you can, the best option for you is to book your hotel in the historical centre, and have the possibility to relax when you come back to the hotel.

This is not the place to discuss which is the best way to spend a holiday, also because there is not one, but several: anyway, if you are people who like to explore art and monuments, who want to create unforgettable memories, and who want to sleep well and be treated like kings… well, go on reading. Some travellers don’t need comfy rooms, some do. Especially if they want to get up early in the morning and walk for hours, in order to admire everything! Or, if not everything… a lot. A holiday it’s a holiday; you don’t need to worry about sleeping, relaxing, having a good breakfast, avoiding noise, or walking kilometers to arrive to the church you desperately want to see. That’s why we suggest you to book a hotel in the center, and possibly a classy one, where you really know what you are paying for: high-level service, excellent food, and (why not?) an international environment.

Choosing the best accommodation is the first important step in order to spend an unforgettable holiday. Bear in mind that spring and summer are very busy seasons: this doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go on holiday from May to September, but only that you need to make arrangements in order to really enjoy your stay. Tuscany is a must see also in October- early November: after visiting Florence, don’t miss the picturesque surroundings and you will fall in love with the landscape, where the thriving nature is covered in gold, red and yellow.

Are we forgetting about foodies? No, we are not: Florence (and Tuscany in general) has an excellent and various cuisine which will delight your palate. Apart from the renown Bistecca alla Fiorentina -  the Florentine T-bone steak with the right cut and the right length of cooking time - you need to taste Lampredotto, a kind of street food. It is basically the fourth stomach of the cow, a typical Florentine dish still widespread in the city thanks to the presence of numerous kiosks of so-called “lampredottai”. There are several ways to eat it: the most common and loved by the Florentines is inside a bread soaked in broth and served with salsa verde. Yes, it’s not exactly a classy meal, but who cares? Taste is what counts: and Florence and Tuscany in general are famous for the their delicious “cucina povera”, which literally means “poor cuisine”, referring  to the peasant context in which it was born.
