Is Legoland Florida a Good Value?

While there are plenty of cheap airplane tickets and discount hotel rooms available in Orlando Florida, the theme park Legoland Florida which opened October 15th of this year is not cheap. Admission rates go for $75 plus tax per day for adults and $65 for children.

Legoland is located on the site of the old Cypress Gardens park in Winter Haven which is almost an hour’s drive from the major Orlando theme parks.

When you add in the cost of parking ($15) and lunch, a typical family of four could easily pay $350 for a single day visit to Legoland.

Legoland sports a strong line up of kid friendly attractions.  Visitors to Legoland’s California park have consistently rated it as the best park in the country for children, ahead of Disney parks.

Disney’s Florida park is much larger with longer hours of operations vs. Legoland which closes by 5 pm.  On a per hour basis of daily operations Legoland costs about double that of Disneyland’s Magic Kingdom.

If you want to save money while visiting Legoland, you should go online where many discounts can usually be found via sites offering promo codes.  If online research is not appealing, be aware that Legoland offers a two day upgrade ticketArticle Submission, which gives visitors access to a second day in the park for only $15 more.
