On this Scotland tour, you will start and end the tour in Edinburgh.  You will travel in a small luxury mini-coach with your own Scottish driver-guide.  All our guides are very experienced and knowledgeable and most importantly they love Scotland!

Day 1 - East Coast of Scotland

On day 1 we travel from St Andrews on the east coast of Scotland to Ullapool on the north-west coast.  On our travels, we will visit the ancient Cathedral village of Dunkeld, Aviemore in the Cairngorms, and the very deep and very impressive Corrieshalloch Gorge.

Days 2 & 3 - Islands - Lewis & Harris

We will travel to the far north of Lewis to view the lighthouse and cliffs at the Butt of Lewis and then head south to take in Dalmore beach and Dun Carloway Broch. En route, we may stop to meet one of the many cottage weavers of Harris Tweed where there is the chance to buy this world-renowned fabric literally right off the loom. Overnight will be in Stornoway, the bustling capital of Lewis.

Our first stop on day 3 is the Callanish Standing Stones – dating from 2900 BC and reckoned by many to be the most beautiful in the British Isles. We then visit the Iron Age settlement and beach at Bosta and Abhainn Dearg Whisky Distillery – one of Scotland’s newest. Our route then takes us over the Clisham Mountains to Tarbert in Harris where we will spend the night.

Day 4 - Isle of Skye

On Skye, we will investigate the Trotternish peninsula highlights of the Quiraing, Kilt Rock and the Old Man of Storr before reaching Portree for our final overnight stay.

Day 5 - Central Highlands

Our first stop will be at Eilean Donan Castle. This stunning seat of the clan Macrae is still the most photographed castle in Scotland. We then drive through Glen Shiel to Fort William and return to Edinburgh through the stunning scenery of Glencoe, Rannoch Moor and Stirling.
