Prague Airport’s Business Support Lounges

One of the big attractions of Prague Airport for business travellers is the sheer choice of private lounges.  Find out more about them here.

It should come as no surprise that business travellers sometimes need to work when they’re in airports.

There might be many reasons why that’s the case. Even upon arrival, if you haven’t pre-booked a direct airport transfer, time might not permit a quick transit to a hotel or city-centre office and you may need to send that email or deal with that call immediately. Yet, if circumstances have ever forced you to try and work in the main public terminal building of an airport, you’ll know just how difficult that can be given the surroundings.

Today, many airports offer some form of private business lounge or another where business support facilities are made available. Few though can match the selection and variety available in Prague Airport (Vaclav Havel Airport) – a range of services that has developed alongside the city’s phenomenal growth as a destination for corporate conferences and business travel.

Prague Airport’s Business Lounges

One thing you can be sure of here is choice!

If you’re looking for business-support lounges, you can choose from:

• Citigold Lounge. Ideal for last-minute requirements, as it’s pay on entry, this lounge provides comfortable and quiet accommodation with snacks and drinks included. It also offers full WIFI and internet connection. Very useful if you want a modest price and short duration lounge facilities. A point worth noting is that this lounge is for Schengen Zone passengers only.

• VIP Service Club Continental. A multi-room complex, the lounges here also form part of a service proposition that includes collection from the aircraft and private road access plus free parking. A large room can be entirely dedicated to your personal use for the ultimate in privacy. All communications and business support services are also available.

• MasterCard Lounge. As the name suggests, this is an impressive set of rooms aimed at the holders of certain credit cards and airline affiliation memberships. The facilities provided here include laser printers, faxes, photocopiers, PCs and all modern telecoms services. Note – this is primarily intended for passengers in transit to or from non-Schengen zone countries.

• The MasterCard Elite Lounge. Offering similar services to the above, here you can rent a lounge for 2 hours which will be entirely dedicated to your private use and which comes with sweeping views over the airport’s runways and aprons.

• Terminal 3 Lounge. Aimed at those arriving into Prague Airport by General Aviation means (private aircraft), this facility once again provides readily available refreshments and all appropriate business services, in an entirely discrete and highly private setting.

• Erste Premier Lounge. For those travelling within the Schengen Zone, here you’ll find very comfortable rooms and quiet relative privacy. Access is by paying a fee upon entry. Printers, PCs and other technology-based services are all available free of charge. If you wish, you can also hire a private room in this complex and have it dedicated entirely to your personal use for the ultimate in quiet working environments.

Finding Out More

More details on any of the above can be obtained from Prague Airport or your airline/travel agent.

Note that if you’re looking for a dedicated personal and entirely private loungePsychology Articles, booking ahead is advisable due to the above-mentioned increasing popularity of Prague as a major destination for business travel.
