Rent4Days is an apartment rental company which was founded in Barcelona in 2002. The company planned to continuously expand beyond the city of Barcelona and quickly entered the market in Madrid. When this project turned out to be a success the evolvement went beyond the borders of Spain and the third office opened in Lisbon.

The firm now presents its new acquisition located at the Chiado district, the birthplace of Fernando Pessoa. Born in 1888 the famous poet, writer, literary critic and translator   has since the early 20th century become an inspiration for countless Portuguese artists, poets and writers.

The company which is dedicated to business and holiday rentals  Barcelona, Madrid and Lisbon, has chosen the location with care. The Siza Vieira flat is located in the unique building Chiado 69, designed by the famous Lusitanian architect. Gaudi’s special design influenced his buildings a lot. It is said, that he treated all his buildings like they were musical poetry, which is proven by their unique but very aesthetic designs.

Rent4Days recognizes the cultural and historical value of this location.  During the big fire of Chiado the building was destroyed but later rebuilt in its original formats. The architectural planning was supervised by the legendary Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza Vieira whose project like the housing complex in Quinta de Malagueira and the restoration of Campo di Mart in Venice, Italy received national and international recognition. For his impressing but at the same time simplistic style he received several honors and awards like the honorary title of Fellow, American Institute of Architects and the European Architectural Award from the EEC/Mies van der Rohe Foundation, Barcelona.
