Sarasota is a wonderful location to travel to.  The area has many attractions and events year round.

If you are into baseball,Sarasota Real Estate and Travel Articles look no further.  The area boasts spring training facilities from a few teams.  In Sarasota, the Orioles call the city home.  They are very popular with fans from the Baltimore area.  A little south you wil find the new Atalanta Braves facility which recently moved from Orlando.  It is brand new and can accomodate many fans of all ages.  Just north of Sarasota, in Bradenton, you will find the Pittsburgh Pirates.  Spring training takes place in March and the start of April and attracts thousands of visitors from around the country.

The peak season for travel is from Thanksgiving to Easter.  This time of year is very buys.  You will encounter some extra traffic and ait times at restaurants and shows.  It is advisibale to make reservations at restaurants.  Local residents do not appreciate the extra crowds but are friendly to visitors.

Down south in Siesta Key you will find many seasonal, weekly, monthly and sometimes daily rental options for Sarasota real estate.  You will mainly find condo that are rented directly by owners or sometimes management companies.  Rates will be a little higher in season but are generally affordable.  You can also use popular AirBnB sites to help find the perfect property.  There are a few hotels but short term rentals are the way to go.

On the mainland you will find many new hotel options downtown.  These wil all be within walkign distance of shops, restaurants, theaters, and boutique galleries.  The saturday farmer's market is very popular.  You will find various stalls selling flowers, treats, art, and fresh goods in the morning.  Parking is limited so plan accordingly and be prepared to walk.  There are many great dining options downtown.  The shops are small and local with lots of great things to buy.  Avoid the tourist trap shops closer to the beach.  Art is very important to the town and it's history so perhaps pick up something by a local artisit.

Over on Lido Key and St Armands key you will find a popular circle to walk that has a lot of shops, restaurants, and things to do.  Nearby is Lido Beach which is very popular with locals and tourists alike.  There are a few different housing options availble, from rental houses and condos to full on resort hotels on the beach.  Prices will vary based on the time of year and views.  Many rental properties are affordable but rental time limits are in effect so expect to have to rent for a longer period.  The Lido Beach Resort is a favorite.  The beaches were just replenished so the powdery sand is perfect.

Up to the north a litle bit is Siesta Key.  There are also rental options here but again the limitiations on minimum rental period will force most visitors to use a hotel or rent eleswhere.  The Longboat Key club is very popular and the location is perfect.

So if you're interested in a nice travel destination Sarasota has a lot to offer.
