In Singapore, it is a small but modern nation. You will see huge skyscrapers filling up the skyline, among the hustle and bustle of city life in Singapore. In addition, Singapore is a major trading hub for Asia, its shipping port is one of the busiest in the world, and its financial centre is a key player in the South East Asian markets. Therefore to serve such a diverse and dynamic country, this beautiful city has a modern infrastructure to support many modes of transportation to help transport people all around town. One of the most popular means of transport is by Taxi cab. There are endless amounts of taxi companies in Singapore, so how do you know which taxi company is reliable? Here are three of the good cab companies to use in Singapore.
1.) Comfort Cabs
Comfort Cabs is owned by the Comfort Delgro group, which is head quartered in the United States. It is probably the most popular cab company in Singapore as it has the largest network of taxis available. Each taxi cab is fully equipped with a GPS device, which ensures that the taxi driver can take you to any part of Singapore with no issues on directions. Furthermore it boasts a state of the art ordering system, where you can easily call a cab by the Internet, phone, and by SMS text messaging. Also, they are one of the few taxi companies in the city that accept credit cards or debit cards as a form of payment.
2.) City Cabs
City Cabs is also owned by the Comfort Delgro group. Interestingly enough, riding in a City Cab is exactly the same as riding in a Comfort Cab. The only difference is that the City Cabs are yellow colour. All the same benefits you get from a Comfort Cab are also found in a City Cab (including the fact they also accept credit cards as a form of payment).
3.) SMRT Cabs
The next most popular taxis would be from SMRT Cabs. They are owned by the SMRT group, which is the same company that runs the MRT subway trains in Singapore. Recently many of the SMRT cabs have upgraded to newer Chevrolet cars, and have seem to have more cabs available for people. One benefit for using their services is that their taxi fees are cheaper than Comfort and City cabs, and also they accept your EZ-link subway/bus card as a form of payment.
