Life is meant for spectacular adventures. Let your feet wander, your eyes marvel, and your soul
ignite.
Who doesn’t love vacations? It’s the best time to unwind and relax. To turn off from your
everyday life and truly enjoy. But it also becomes a time when we slack off on our health.
Getting some physical activity in can also help relieve stress and make you happier. So, staying
active on a vacation is really a win win for your body and mind.
Sharing a few simple tips on how to stay active while travelling, which are both doable and,
quite frankly, fun.

1. Chasing the sun
Go outside in the morning and breathe in some fresh air. It could be a run, walk, or soaking in
the sun. Nothing like a run around a lake or walk in the garden. Starting your morning active will
keep you refreshed and energised throughout the day.

2. Local Active Adventure
Do a local active adventure. This could range from hiking, trekking, cycling or swimming. Don’t
forget to follow it up with a good stretch sess. Highly recommend doing bed stretches before
you sleep to relax the muscles. So this happened in Bhutan. We made it to the tiger’s nest and
back. Had the best time.
We’ve made a promise to ourselves to try at least one active adventurous thing wherever we
travel. It’s a fun way to stay fit and make memories that will last a lifetime. Trust us, you won’t
regret this one.

3. Yoga in the wild
Outdoor yoga anyone? If you haven’t tried this, you definitely should. And we’re not talking
about an intense yoga session. Just grab your mat, get out of your room and out on the garden
and do some basic stretches.
The stillness, birds chirping, maybe spotting a butterfly or two, serene environment, just you,
your mat and the beauty around. We’re really trying to sell this, can you tell?

4. Exploring!
Now something we all do on vacations – EXPLORE! Make it a point to walk as much as you can
to nearby locations. Walk to a tourist spot you want to check out.
Walk to a restaurant you want to try. None of this sounds motivating enough? Walk to a local
street for shopping (Wester Wear) can truly be a great cardio workout. No
kidding!

This does not mean we won’t indulge in the local food and take some time to slow down and
truly enjoy the place. Just small activities here and there like walking more often, doing some
bed stretches before sleeping, cycling aroundFree Reprint Articles, and snacking in between meals so we don’t
make reckless food choices. Also eating the occasional salad wouldn’t hurt. They can be
delicious too. It’s all about balance!
