Stay Aware While in Hotels

Finding discount hotel rooms and discount travel packages often help make business travel cost effective for companies.  Hotel guests, particularly women, need to be aware that they can become victims of attacks by intruders, hotel staff, and even other guests if they do not act to protect themselves.

Experts warn that women are particularly vulnerable while attending conventions because they typically wear name badges and readily tell people where they are staying.

Hotel guests need to take steps to protect themselves:

·       Trust your instincts.  Better to be safe than regret caution later.

·       When hotel employees make deliveries, guests should either leave the door fully open or tell the employee you will take the delivery at the door and the employee need not enter the room.

·       If you are a woman and would like liquor delivered to your room, request that a woman bring it.
