If history is your passion then you will want to make room in your holiday schedule to visit Fort Denison which has historic significance in the defense structure of the area that dates back to the 1800's. Another historical landmark that is also a very popular tourist attraction is the Government House with a history that dates back into the early 1800's as well. Another incredible structure to visit is the Hyde Park Barracks, one of the original prisons of Sydney that was in use until the mid 1800's.

No matter where you go in Sydney you will find that there is something wonderful to see and do. A trip to Sydney is definitely one that requires a comfortable pair of shoes.
