  • Jallianwala Bagh: Famous or better say infamous for the annihilation by General Dyer in 1919, Jallianwala Bagh today is visited by several tourists in Punjab. One can still pinpoint the bullets marks in the wall. This incident is about to complete its centenary in couple of years and yet, the unnerving story of vicious massacre makes us abashed of being civilized. The Jallianwala Bagh is evidence to the reminiscence of the ghastly event when British soldiers gunned down hundreds of innocent men, women and children. More surprising however, is the warmth with which the hospitable descendants of the dead open their arms to outsiders.
  • Wagah Border–The Wagah Border came into existence when the Radcliffe line was drawn, thus distinguishing India and Pakistan, and dividing the village of Wagah into eastern and western parts. The eastern part went to India, and the western part in the newly born Pakistan.
