The modern art gallery in Palazzo Pitti, Florence, hosts an exhibition dedicated to Sergio Scatizzi, a “91-years old-boy,” who is a main player in the 20th century Tuscan art.
The exhibition presents a selection of 61 works depicting his vision of nature, characterized by abrupted signs and colors that become increasingly dominant.
The subjects represented are: Nature, the Tuscan countryside, and  flowers, especially  roses.
The exhibition ends with a selection of 17th century Florentine paintings, coming from Scatizzi’s private collection, chosen by the author to explain the evolution of his paintings.
