Tulsa is one of those medium sized cities located in the central United States that has a rich history in sports. Tulsans in general are avid fans of football. This includes but is not limited to high school football. Each summer, the local media in Tulsa 'gears up' for the upcoming high school football season. Additionally, parents of high school players and supporters of each school, gear up as well in order to support their local high school football program and of course to earn 'bragging rights'.

In addition to high school football, Tulsa has Double AA (minor league) baseball, minor league hockey, and Division 1 Football. Below is a list and a description of each one of those teams that can be found in Tulsa:

Number One: Tulsa Drillers Baseball. The Tulsa Drillers are the Double AA (minor league) affiliate of the Colorado Rockies. They moved into a new stadium that is located in Downtown Tulsa.
