Trip Review of A Grand Canyon Bus Tour to South Rim

A brief write-up on my Grand Canyon South Rim bus tour from Las Vegas. Also I incorporate a hyperlink where readers can visit get this bus trip for $80 all-inclusive.

By far one of the most popular Grand Canyon coach tour is the the one that departs from Vegas and goes to the South Rim. I picked up one of these tours for $80 and it didn't let me down. Here's my trip evaluation:

I must say this is one of the excursions to the rim for less than $100. It's all-inclusive and includes free hotel shuttle service, lunch, and a professional driver guide.

This particular tour operator picked me up at my Las Vegas Strip hotel punctually. I knocked back a cup of strong coffee, a blueberry pastry, and found my seat.

The luxury motor coach was extraordinary. The seats were lavish and the window's had draw-down blinds (handy for the ride back). Everyone had their own A/C, cup holders, and table trays. I counted at least seven TVs. I also got a pair of headphones for the pre-recorded trip narration.

This isn't a short trip. One-way drive time is five-and-a-half-hours. There are several well-timed convenience breaks, and also a Hoover Dam photostop (more on this later). Total tour time is around 15 hours. I managed to get back to my hotel close to 9 p.m.

The road over followed the edge of Lake Mead (take a seat on the left side). We crossed the Colorado River/Black Canyon using the brand-new Hoover Dam Bypass Bridge, which rises 900 feet above the river. Unlike other tours, ours detoured on the Arizona side for pictures of the Dam. Definitely make sure this is a part of your package.

Our coach purred along to Williams, AZ, before turning north for the final 60 miles to Grand Canyon National Park. Here you can prolong your tour by adding a South Rim chopper tour. It takes you through the Dragoon Corridor, the broadest, deepest section of the canyon.

I stuck with the basic Grand Canyon by bus excursion. Our journey took us to Yavapai Observation Center and Mather Point. The views were stunning. I specifically appreciated the view from Mather. The very first time you see the South Rim is truly a spectacular moment. The time I was provided at these viewing areas was more than sufficient.

We got dropped off at the Bright Angel Lodge, the hub of the Grand Canyon Village. Plenty to do here. El Tovar Hotel, the Rim Trail, the Bright Angel Trail (takes you under the rim) and the Lodge itself. A box lunch is provided. More food can be purchased a the restaurant inside the Lodge or at the snack bar close to the edge.

I pointed out previously that this canyon coach tour can be had for about $80. To get that offerPsychology Articles, you have to shop the web. There are several out there. Get the one which offers you up to three hours at the rim and comes along with all Park fees. I also recommend that you buy this trip beforehand.

This Grand Canyon by bus tour is the greatest deal around. I completely enjoyed myself. You must be willing to allocate an entire day to the trip. Departure time is always close to 7 a.m. Return is in the late evening. That may sound like and endurance test but it is not. Buses these days are the height of comfort. No trip to Las Vegas is complete without a trip to the canyon. Make it happen. Take the canyon bus.
