Villa Batujimbar is located in the heart of Sanur, on the southeastern tip of Bali. This four suite beachfront estate is cocooned in the Batujimbar Estate, giving it a serene and magical atmosphere while being surrounded by world-class restaurants and local attractions.

Set in the Batujimbar Estate, Villa Batujimbar boasts a whole range of facilities from tennis courts, swimming pool, air-conditioned gym, its own museum to the golden sands of the beach directly below.

Villa Batujimbar is constructed from local materials such as bamboo, thatching, and paras stone. set on spacious grounds, and with countless Balinese paintings, carvings and wall murals on display, Villa Batujimbar gives you a real look into Balinese culture and history. The villa was actually inspired by an Australian, Donald Friend, in a tribute to Balinese culture, with architecture by Sri Lankan Geoffrey Bawa, inspired by the nineteenth century palaces at Klungkung and Amlapura. the museum was added in red brick, surrounded by a moat, in 1975 to house the immense collection of Balinese artwork.

When Friend left Bali, Adrian Zecha became owner of Villa Batujimbar, and refurbishment took place by designer Ed Tutle, adding tennis courts and gym, the Villa has now opened to offer a magical stay to guests here.

Made of various buildings, and spread over more than 1 hectare of land, the kitchen is found to the south, the temple to the north - east, and the main house to the west.
Villa Batujimbar has been host to many celebrities such as Mick Jagger and Jerry Hall who consummated their wedding vows here, Yoko Ono, a concert by Sting, and even international nobility such as the Crown prince of Thailand.

Accomodation at Villa Batujimbar  contains four en suite bedrooms with king size beds, 2 suites located on the east side of the Villa Batujimbar Estate, the other two located across a courtyard, two of the suites boasting outdoor bathrooms.
Suites one and two have a private courtyard, and all suites have dressing rooms, air-conditioning, T.V, DVD and safety deposit box.

Facilities at Villa Batujimbar are endless, including tennis court with pavilion with fridge and sitting area, massage, a swim in the 25m pool complete with pool pavilion. There is a well equipped gym including treadmills, dumbbells and multi purpose stations.

If you wish to pamper yourself, why not indulge in a massage, body scrub, facial, manicure, hair braiding to mention a few.
Other facilities include direct access to the beach, with a plenitude of water activities such as snorkeling, water ski-ing, Scuba diving, as many water sports centers can be found nearby. All activities can be arranged by our dedicated team of staff at Villa Batujimbar.
Staff include a manager, chef, housekeepers, gardeners, round the clock security guards.

Extra facilities at Villa Batujimbar include LCD/ Satellite T.V, DVD,VCD, CD players and libraries, fax, photocopier and scanner, phone line, in room safe boxes, free Internet connection by broadband, private parking, back up generator, daily room service and a laundry service at no extra charge.
Dry cleaning can also be arranged, a daily breakfast is included, lunch and dinner can be provided at cost with a charge for the duty staff and transportation also provided with cost.
