While living for months and years in different regions, you have to eat various kinds of foods. You may love some of the foods, but despise the taste of many of the cuisines. Now, either you can cook on your own or rely on the monotonous regional food, which seems exciting for the first few days, but becomes tedious later. Moreover, you cannot get all the ingredients you want everywhere. Secondly, when you fall ill, consulting a medical doctor becomes a significant concern. And if you do not know the local language, there comes a huge communication gap between you and the doctor. If your insurance policy does not cover you in a particular country for specific diseases, you may have to pay a fortune for insignificant medical services. Above everything else, if the doctor is not able to treat you correctly, your bad luck may leave you in the middle of nowhere, and your disease may incredibly intensify.

Communicating with the locals

When you have to visit a new country for just a week or so, you can manage without speaking the local language. Even if you have to learn a few phrases, it does not take much effort. However, spending a few months every year in an unfamiliar country requires communicating with people around you for the daily needs. It becomes frustrating at times to feel crippled when you cannot say whatever you want to with anyone on the streets. Yes, translation is available online and offline, yet it does not give contentment to the heart when it comes to being emotionally drained. We always take language or communication for granted, but living in a different country shows us the real picture.

Traveling can become difficult

It may become difficult to travel now and then with a suitcase even when a variety of public transport is available.
