Designing a Web Page  Here,Designing a Web Page Articles I will show you a few tips on how to design a web page.  Plan your site: Think about what your site will be about, gain informations and organize in a way that users and search engines will be able to find without hassle. Avoid using dynamic menus, such as those created with DHTML Flash or Java Script as much as possible. Google loves simple pages well organized, eventually information is the gold here.  Don't use flash to create a intro page where users have to wait to see a flash movie and bother him with sounds until he will have to click a "Enter the website" to get to the main page. Why ? The more time user will waste to get to the content, the more is likely he will leave your page.  If you really want to use images, do not abuse them! Include an "alt" tag to describe the image.  Use heading tags for the most important part of your page.  If you are using a CMS (Content Managing System), which makes dynamic pages, you should use the rewrite_engine, with the help of .htaccess file. Example:  Options +FollowSymlinks  RewriteEngine on  RewriteRule ^(.*).htm$ $1.php [NC]  This will help search engines to find your website pages and optimize for users too. Try to keep your pages free of unwanted banners/affiliated links that are irrelevant to your website content.  This is for now, I will continue writing about this with more tips on another article.
