Jazzing Up your Blogsites

Blogsites are very common on the web nowadays.  Well, to say they are “very common” is actually an understatement.  Given the hundreds of thousands of blogs you can find about anything and everything under the sun, it cannot be denied that it has become a huge craze among millions of web users. 

            What is it about blogs that click among bloggers and readers alike?  For bloggers, it is a way of expression, a mode of sharing what they want with others.  With the millions of blogs out there, no one blogger knows for certain how many followers he has, or whether he is even being read at all.  Of course there are stats and analytics to help him determine those data, but it would be safe to presume that when one begins blogging, the main intention may not exactly be to be famous, or gain followers, or post something that will later on be viral, but simply to express, to convey, to share some message in whatever mode or format he deems fit.  The rise in the number of followers and subscribers by means, for example, of RSS feeds, are just a consequence of what you have posted by way of blogs.  For readers and followers, however, there are a wide variety of reasons for being such in relation to chosen blogs: foremost of which is learning something out of them, another being for the fun and enjoyment, or amusement, gained from them, and many other reasons probably unique for each reader.

            It will come as no surprise if by now you already have your own free website for blogs – or even a number of them – covering any or all of your interests and just about anything you intend to share to your readers.  Although, as earlier mentioned, you initially might not have the intention of gaining fame through your blogs, it in undeniable that you actually would not mind gaining some following online.  How should you re-design your blogs to make it more appealing to blog fanatics and enthusiasts worldwide?

            Be attuned to trends.  Just as web technology and gadgets technology are evolving, web users seem to be undergoing radical changes themselves in the past years.  Check out trends, and keep up with the buzz on what arouses web users’ interest to keep your blog posts updated and interesting to a good share of blog readers.  This goes for both visual and textual content. Remember that at this time and age, what may be popular today, may have been old news by tomorrow.

            Do not underestimate the power of social media.  Explore what advantages your blogsites can derive from social media.  Do not be confined to one mode of exposure like only your blog website, but try to reach a wider audience by posting on social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, among others.  Sometimes even integrating their popular logos as links in your blogsites can go a really long way.

            Realize that re-design may not be necessary, and that you need only to re-align.  Maybe what your blogsite needs is not a total renovation at all.  Your design, layout and rich content may still be good and interesting at this time, but you may just have to update them a little to cater to the changing needs and requirements, or demands, of our blog readers.
