Sun, the King of the Solar System

Sun is the King and Moon is the Queen, as per Astrology, The Sun and Moon are not planets, but luminaries. They are very important lumninaries and are King Makers.

Sun is one of the functional luminaries and is the King in the Government of the Almighty. Hence all regal qualities are attributed to this luminary.

Amongst the Nine Revolving Heavens, Sun is the most powerful luminary in intrinsic strength. It is the King of the Solar Logos and is No1 in the celestial Govt. Kings are ruled by him.

To the ancient Seers, the Sun was the external symbol of Absolute
Realty, the Self. The Divine, the Lord is invisible, but His visible symbol was
Sol, whose energy nourished the Universe. They called his three aspects, the
Morning Sun, the Midday Sun and the Evening Sun, as the Trinitarian Unity,
as Creator, Preserver and Destroyer

He is the Creator, Brahma, while rising
Siva, the Destroyer at Midday !

Soorya, Sol, is the visbile Deity !

He is the central point of the Solar system, as all planets traverse
around him in elliptical orbits. He is the Guru, as in an ashram,
all students revolve around the Guru. The term Gurutva for
Gravity is derived from this allegory. All planets revolve around
Sol due to celestial gravity. The astronomer Aryabhata exclaimed
” Soorya Jagata Chakshu, guruthvakarshan ” !

The role of Sun in Horoscopy

Political power is a reflex of economic power and as the
the King of the Solar Logos, the Sun is capable of conferring
great political power. A horoscope is considered powerful only
if the luminaries, Sol and Moon, are powerful. He is a mild
malefic in Astrologia Vedica.

Sun in the Ascendant

Sun in the Ascendant makes one valorous, with less hair.
Will be cruel and lazy.He will be egoistic and anger-prone
Will be lacking in patience and mercy.
