Armadillo in Nars 15th Anniversary Party

Have you ever impressed by Alexander McQueen 2010 show? When the gauntlet was well and truly thrown down to the first celebrity savvy enough to secure them first - and then brave enough to actually wear them in public. On 12th, Nov, Daphne Guinness scored the debut for the McQueen shoes that have divided fashion lovers everywhere. 

The shoes - likened to armadillos, crabs' claws and goats' feet by some sections of the press - measure almost 12 inches from floor to ankle, and appeared in the show in a range of fabrications. Lady Gaga sported the shoes in the video for her new single, Bad Romance, but Guinness' trip to the Nars 15th anniversary party in New York last night was the shoes' first time on a red carpet. 
Couture collector Guinness opted for understated nude leather, teamed with a dress from the same Alexander McQueen spring/summer 2010 collection, whilst Gaga's were covered in sequins.
