In 1962, Bonnie joined Coach and designed first bag inspired by a paper shopping bag. In 1964, she introduced new colors to Coach, dying the leather to her beloved candy colors of pink, blue, orange and green. In 1967, she brought fashionable function to her designs with wilder openings, exterior coin purses and other accessories. In 1968, due to her outstanding design, she won the American Handbag Design Award. In 2001, the Bucket Bag was re-introduced, illustrating Bonnie’s passion for “fashion meets function”.  And in 2009, it is her vintage design elements that infused to Coach’s modern sensibility and thus come the new Coach collection named after the very designer, which exemplifies the essence of spring.
