New York’s 2011 Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has been filled with spectacular events and moments as high-end designers such as Max Azria,City Model and Talent Reviews Models in Fashion Week Articles Tracy Reese and Jason Wu debuted their Spring 2012 Collections. Our favorite part of fashion shows is the models. Their poise and catwalk in glamorous designs make fashion shows a hit! A few of City Model and Talent’s favorite model’s that stood out on the runway in show stopping numbers include Jourdan Dunn, Kristina Salinovic, Kylie Jenner, Magda Laguinge and Hilary Rhoda.

Jourdan commanded the runway as she showed off the designs of collections from Marc Jacobs, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta, Derek Lam and Jason Wu. With previous work for Dior and Gucci her soft features, perfect bone structure and high cheek bones are sure to take her far. Kristina's daring eyes and unique look can channel both worlds of femininity and masculinity. With previous work for Karl Lagerfeld and Missoni, she recently appeared in a rendition of Jay-Z's Empire State of Mind with other models including Jourdan.

Hilary's long legs and bone structure make her the go to model for runway shows. With previous work for Rag & Bone and Diane von Furstenberg, this year she graced the runways of the Carolina Herrera and Alexander Wang Collections tapping Tyra Banks signature style in bright vibrant and dark colors. She walked the Alexander Wang runway in a bustier and crop pants. She’s our favorite because she has what it takes to become the next Iman.

Kylie Jenner walked the runway for Avril Lavigne’s line Abbey Dawn, a line marketed to teen girls with a splash of emo, in a punk glam look. Even though it was her first time on the runway, she did wonderful for someone of her age. We think she has what it takes to grace runways in Milan and even Paris.

Kendall Jenner, who has been into modeling for some time, walked on the runway for Fashion Week for the first time wearing Sherri Hill’s line. The dresses she wore fit for a prince. With her poise, grace and walk she is sure to take her modeling careers far. We have our eye on her. She’s one of   our favorites along with her sister that graced the runway this year. They are supermodel material. They get City Model and Talents vote as extremely beautiful up and coming models.

Magda Laguinge took the stage at Marc Jacobs fashion show. With a bold facial expression she could be the next Victoria Beckham. We love her style and look. She had a perfect walk on the runway wearing a trench coat paired with greys and reds. She’s been featured in some of the nation’s top media outlets include New York Magazine.

Each of the above mentioned models have modeling techniques that you’d never want to look past as some of these ladies and dapper gentlemen know what it takes to make an expression in the fashion world and modeling industry. City model and talent, an innovative, dynamic and professional organization dedicated to the promotion of models and talent (actors, singers & dancers) into the fashion and entertainment industry,  has an eye for up and comers and can really spot them. This year’s Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week has been a hit that has caused the New York City Social scene to go into a fashion frenzy including our City Model and Talent Team. We are working aimlessly with high hopes that some of our very own models hit the runway in upcoming years.
