Curling irons aren’t just useful for curling hair.

Curling irons aren’t just useful for curling hair. If you have the right model and technique,Curling Irons for Waves Articles you can create any kind of curly or wavy style to add some bounce to your look.  The first thing you have to take care of before creating those long and luscious waves is the size of the barrel. The bigger the barrel, the looser the curl. But aside from the size you also have to be aware of the quality of the barrel since you don’t want dry and brittle results. For most people, a pure ceramic barrel is more than enough due to its soothing far infrared heating and its frizz defying ionic technology. But if your hair is especially frizzy and voluminous then consider using a ceramic and tourmaline barrel for those extra negative ions that keep each hair smooth, shiny and in its place.  Now for the technique, here are a few simple steps to go from straight to curly in no time: Step 1: Start with clean and dry hair. Comb your hair through to untangle and apply some heat protectant. Comb through again and section your hair up into layers. Pin the top layers up so you can start from the bottom.  Step 2: Use a wide-barrel curling iron, at least 1.5 inches on low heat, take one section and place the end of your curl near the handle of the iron. If you have a spring curling iron then do not open the clip of the iron; simply and loosely wrap the entire section around the outside of the barrel, making sure to overlap the end so it will stay. If you’re using a clipless curling iron then it’s much easier since you’ll just have to wrap the section around the barrel like usual. Hold it in place for about 10 seconds and then slide the barrel out.  Step 3: Repeat step 2 until you’ve curled the whole layer and then keep working your way upwards until you reach the crown of your head.  Step 4: If you have a blow dryer, remove nozzle from dryer and gently loosen waves with cool air. If not then simply separate the curls with your fingers to give them that loosely wavy effect, just make sure not to brush them out. Four steps are all you need to go from straight to lusciously wavy. With a bit of practice you’ll be creating all kinds of curls and waves to impress your peers who will never imagine that you did it all with a curling iron!
