They say weddings are all about the brides than the grooms. This is because most brides normally want everything to go their way.

Weddings are now more popular than ever and because of this, wedding gown designers are presented with the challenge to keep on coming up with new wedding dresses designs every once in a while. No bride wants to walk down the isle with the same dress design that the girl next do or one of their friends got married to. This is largely because every bride has different taste and different body shapes. As much as different designs are cropping up every now and then, nothing beats the mini wedding dress.

When the mini wedding dresses were first introduced, most brides were reluctant to wear them because the society was used to long wedding gowns. But when a few dared this new trend, more and more brides started to acknowledge and wear the mini wedding gown. But it goes without say that not every bride will look good in a mini wedding gown and thus the question, should a bride go for the mini or long wedding dresses and what factors influence this decision. There are a few factors to consider before making this decision and some of them include the following.

First, the design of the wedding dresses should be considered. This mostly applies if you are getting a custom made wedding gown. Talk to your designer in order to weigh all options and designs that will suit the length that you want. The second factor that influences the length of the wedding gown will be the body shape of the bride. Say for example, a short and plumb bride will definitely look good with a mini wedding gown that exposes her legs and make her look a little bit taller than a long wedding gown that makes her look even shorter. On the other hand, a tall and slender bride can wear either of the two and still look amazing.

The wedding venue can also be considered when making the choice between long or mini wedding dresses. Go for a mini wedding gown if you are having a garden wedding so as not to stain the helm of you gown with grass stain. A long wedding gown will work best for church or indoor weddings where the floor is clean. You might also want to consider your movements for the day. If you will be making many movements with the venue and reception, then get the mini wedding dress but should you be seated for most of the day, then get the long wedding dress.
