There is no doubt that our external appearance is a prerequisite for social acceptance, but in the end, only wise people can make life colorful. Playing a role does not mean that the person is not sincere; it is a person that display one’s life in front of other people. External appearance becomes crucial condition, because it represents each person’s visiting card, and society expects that everyone play different roles. Imagine a person always wears a mask and carves the role, and then the actual self has been buried. This society is inevitably faces a lack of values except for advanced achievements in science and technology, thus creating a serious circle. In this vicious circle, re rely on many common laws to exist. For example, an enchanting beauty must be dull. A variety of media conveys information that beauties live in superficial world. The fact is that the role we play in life and society is completely different. A good impression has to follow some of the real thing, because the real self is eternal. Everyone is unique, has distinctive facial feathers, thought and feelings. Since beauty and life are all passing, we might as well take more efforts to understand ourselves rather than desperately strive to become an example for those we cannot reach, or spend large amount of money on inappropriate clothes. Here knowing oneself refers to ego search; it is to explore more suitable style. There is an old saying in the past “fine clothes make the man”, but in contemporary society, it is hard to say whether this can take hold. It is no wonder that one’s appearance plays an important role in social acceptance, but finally, the crucial lies in one’s life attitude and wisdom.
