Having your own blog can serve a lot of purposes and can be extremely fulfilling. 1.  Build a Facebook Fan Page- One of the best places to share links to new blog posts that you publish is on Facebook and other social networks. Go onto Facebook and create a fan page for your blog and invite all of your friends to “like” it. If you have gotten all of your friends to like your page and you still want more people to see your content then you can use Facebook to promote the page and get it in front of thousands of new people. When you are running a promotion you will be able to specify what region you want your ads to run in, as well as what age groups or genders you would like to target.

2.  Do some link building- If you really want to get our blog to take off then you are going to want to do some link building. Link building consists of several different types of activities that will create links on the Internet that point back to your website. What you can do is create a list of keywords that you would like to rank for in search results and then you can slowly build links to your site using those keywords as anchor text. There are several different activities for building links so make sure that you come up with a strategy that is well rounding and will provide many different types of links to your website.

3.  Guest post- Guest posting is a very simple idea and process. Basically what you will be doing is looking blogs of similar interests or topics and then getting in contact with the owner and asking them if they would be willing to publish an article that you write on their site. Often times blog owners will be happy to feature other writers on their site which will give you some really great exposure in front of people who are interested in the types of things that you enjoy writing. At the end of your guest post you can include an author bio and add a link back to your own blog. This will be a great way to generate new interest in your blog.
