Paraphrase the statements in such a way that the sentence structure and the vocabulary is changed and make sure you mention reference to the original source material if used in the dissertation. Be selective in what you want to write and make sure it should be concise. Enclose all the original material in the double quotes and write the source from where you have copied the material. It is sometimes necessary to write the original material in the dissertation due to some formulas or the results, so mark the reference number with the statement used.
