E-mail Copywriting – it still works

Do you really think that E-mail copywriting had lost its value?  E-mail marketing doesn't work any more?? I don't think so. It has only changed it's phase with time. New features are incorporated in this process. By using it in correct way, you can still solve your purpose.

Many times I have seen in forums and blogs that people think that email marketing is dead. It has become an old tool of online marketing and is doesn’t effective any more. And so, e-mail copywriting has lost its value. But I don’t agree with these points. I admit that it has changed its face with time but it’s not dead at all. It still works. But you have to change its pattern along with time. I still use it and it solves my purpose.

The most important thing about email is its subject line. It should be such that it makes your readers to open your mail. For example:

  1. Don’t open it before Thursday. (If sent on any other week day.)
  2. Sent To Wrong Address. Please don’t open.

And some other likes these which make them curious about the content of the email. Your heading may be related to your ads but it should not start with the words like free or opportunity, etc. as email filter will block them or they will go to the junk mails which users don’t even have a look and they all get deleted in bulk. So decide your subject line very wisely.

The next thing is ‘from’ address. Normally people ignore the mail from any strange looking address. So try to use the address which looks like common address.

The content of your mail should be relevant and to the point. Reader should not be bored or feel like he is wasting his time. It should clearly tell him the demand of the mail or about your advertisement.

Last but not leastFree Articles, your e-mail should demand the call of action. It should guide the user to the steps he has to follow after reading your mail.

E-mail marketing still works for me and it solves my purpose. Thus I still do e-mail copywriting for my clients and take their product to the people. So I can’t agree with the people who say that it is dead. Try to follow these steps and surely you too will come on my side. If I missed some points or you don’t agree with me then feel free to mention in the comments.
