At this time of year we all spend more time in our homes, keeping warm,
planning holidays and hoping that the New Year brings us more luck.
Somebody once said that we make our own luck, and that we are all masters of
our own destinies. There is some truth in the saying, as we all have
choices and decisions to make from almost the day we are born. Some
people are indeed lucky - they always seem to make the right decision or
choice, whereas as the majority of us are just feeling our way in the
