In such a case, it becomes critical to handle these revisions well so your project can receive an approval. If you are unsure of handling such revisions properly, then here are some tips that may be of help.
Go through every single comment
Do not just start making changes as suggested by your committee members. The first step should be to read every comment very carefully. Understand what is being demanded in each comment. Sometimes, you may receive different advice on the same topic from separate committee members. In such a case, it can be disastrous if you make changes by simply reading comments of the first member and then moving on to the comments of the second member. Thus, go through all the feedback you have received and then find out the common comments or ones with similarity.
Arrive on an approach to handle conflicts
There may be comments that are conflicting to your own thoughts. Since it is your own work, you also have the freedom to decide to make a change. You should know what to do in a situation where your thinking varies from the comment of a committee member. If there are multiple suggestions from different members, then decide on the one that is justified for your project. If you do not agree with a comment, then you should also be ready to provide an explanation of your decision or choice.
Prioritize your revisions
Work on a task list that lists down all the required revisions per their priority. Look at all minor details before setting your priority list. Begin with the larger revisions, such as rephrasing an entire section. Additionally, consider the interconnections among comments and handle them carefully while making changes in your dissertation.
