It is often a good idea, to have someone who is not involved in the book to proof read it for you, to ensure that your work doesn't contain any grammatical or spelling errors as well as ensuring that it reads correctly. That way, when you submit your finished manuscript to the publisher it is less likely to end up in the bin.
