Create Customer Loyalty: How to keep Customers Coming Back with Promotional Items?

Factors showing how to create loyal customers

You have received a promotional product or a promotional item which is worth your money spent along with a personalized letter. You will feel wonderfully happy, and satisfied. What is your reaction towards the company? This company is good towards its customers. Its service is good. You will respond sooner to the company with a thank you letter and also tell your other friends about the company.

There are certain factors of how to make the customers loyal to the company. They are:

  1. Make sure that the promotional item given to you is related to the main product. Suppose, you buy a TV from a shop and you get a home theatre as a promotional item free with it. Will you not be overjoyed at this offer? This is a related item to the main product. This kind of advertising will certainly make you happy and in turn you will inform more friends about the promotional offer. And, you will always come back again to the company whenever any such offers come in the market.
  2. The Quality of service given to you when you go to buy a product: When the marketing executive greets you well, shows you a product, explain its usage and benefits which is worth your money spent, it shows the quality of service. He goes out of the way only to appease you to buy the product. He does not end up his sale with that. He also shows you that if you buy the product, you will also get a promotional item free with it. He thus makes you buy the product along with the promotional item because of the quality of service shown to you. In this way, the marketing executive has not only sold you the main product, but also offered you the promotional item with it.
  3. After Sales Service:  Suppose you get promotional items free with the main product. Now suddenly, the items stop functioning. Then, you call the company to send in their person for checking it. Now, here lies the million dollar question. How soon do the company people respond to you? Do they come on time and attend to your complaint? This shows the company’s after sales service record after selling a product. If they respond to the customer call soon and on time, this will enhance the company’s name and goodwill. If the after sales service is good, you feel good about their response rate and may even refer the company to your friends.
  4. Free Promotional Items: The company sells their product  in a trade fair which does not have a very good response, now if they introduce a promotional item or promotional items along with the main product – free, there is a chance that more people tend to gather in to that stall, because of the promotional items been given for free. This may increase the product sale.
  5. Create Customer Goodwill: Promotional items build the customer goodwill towards the company with their positive attitude or feelings about the company’s service, their product quality or even because of the promotional items are given for free.
  6. Feel Good Factor: Promotional items are even given to employees as awards or incentives for their valuable contribution towards the company. This kind of recognition by the company creates a Feel Good factor in the minds of the employees and may even make them loyal towards the company.

SoPsychology Articles, the above reasons are necessary for making the customers loyal to the company and even spread the word about the company.
