we have so many choices to decorating our own. We might be different. You may prefer enjoying block-busters at home whereas I prefer playing computer games for example.
But no matter what the primary purpose is, we still have some basic steps to do before we can have fun with them.
And you know what, there are some simple yet effective steps. Steps that you should do today to make sure that you will have an excellent area of entertainment at home. Stick with them and throw in your personalities, you will see a big difference!
So how do they look like?
Step #1: Be clear with your main aim
Like I talked with you before, you and I can be different in some way. You love movies and music, I like them as well. But I like playing computer games much better.
In my experience, structuring a home theater to watch block-busters needs more work. You might want to have a more expensive audio system and monitor. But it’s just “might.” Whereas for gamers like me, I just want a good sound system. What I want more is strong PC hardware.
So be clear at this point. Although you may not see any major difference here, it would save you tons of money to invest on other needed things.
Step #2: Pick out your very own place
Be sure that your own territory doesn’t disrupt any body in your family.
I prefer choosing my own room for this step. There are two plus points for choosing a separated area. The first plus point is you will feel more relaxed. None could disturb you when you’re enjoying your time. Second, it will prevent unwanted quarrel with people in your home.
So the next time you want to play your Pendulum CD’s, make sure you play it in your own space!
Step #3: Choose a decent sound system
And remember that a decent one does not mean the one that costs you “an arm and a leg!”
Yes, expensive speakers might sound a little bit clearer and look a little bit more professional. But only if you have tons of money to burn on them, don’t do it.
When it comes to home theater, I realize that the 2.0 or 2.1 audio system work best. Not only it’s good enough to produce special sound effects but also fits ideally in your room (most of us own only a small room).
And if you care, I recommend my favorite speaker system. The M-Audio Studiophile AV 40. But more on it later.
Step #4: Arm yourself with other important stuff
No one pays a lot of money to design their own space just to see it, right?
Things like your favorite movies, music CD’s, or games DVD’s, a remote control, a headphone, etc are necessary. I know this step sounds obvious but you really need them to complete the system.
