You may absolutely answer “Yes”, if somebody asks you “Do you have a friend”. Is it true? I am afraid you should recognize your real friends at first. I know there are many friends around you, and both of them have their own advantages and drawbacks. Usually I divide them into five groups:

 

Number one is the friends who let you see your advantages and inspire you. Such kind of friends can be called mentor. They may are not your teachers, but they specialize in certain areas with abundant experience. With them, you can get useful suggestion in all aspects of career, family, interpersonal, and etc. It is so lucky of you to be friends with them.

 

Number two is the friends who support you and always praise you in front of others. If you have made a decision, their support is the greatest enjoyment. When you want to share your happiness and sadness, they are always with you. They are the friends who let you feel peace and relax, who are good listeners, and who allow you express your feelings freely. Accompany your quietly is better than a thousand of words.

 

Number three is the friends who share similar interests with you. When you stay with them, sometimes you do the same thing without thinking. You can exchange your hobbies, life goals, or preference. Such strong feelings of “sharing” will let you get a psychological sense of security.
