They are psychic individuals who have the ability to speak with spirits departed from this world after death. This is done by building a relationship between the psychic medium and his/her spiritual guide from the other side,Psychic Mediums Articles who in turn has the power to communicate with spirits that inhabit this alternative reality.

There are three categories in mediumship; physical, mental and trance. With the physical type, the spirits of the deceased person, communicate through paranormal physical happenings like raps on the wall, movements of objects, materialization and other ways. With the mental type, the spirits either impress pictures into the medium’s mind or use his/her hand or vocal apparatus to communicate by speech and writing.

Trance mediumship is less common and represents the most advanced level of communication capable. Here, the whole personality is partly replaced by that of the communicating spirit, which achieves a varying degree of control over the mediums speech, writing and entire neuromuscular apparatus. Little or no memory of what is said or done in the psychic mediums absence is usually retained, though sometimes he/she may on awakening, remember scenes and persons from other spheres of existence.

The main aim in communicating is for the spirit to assure loved ones left behind in this earth that they are all right, not alive between us but alive nether less.

To prove this, mediums can correlate the mannerism of the deceased, not just the message itself. A grieving person is able to recognize their loved one not just by using the wording that the deceased would use when alive but the little things that makes that spirit unique.

When a sitter communicates with a loved one from the other side, the sitter may ask questions, as can the spirits but the conversation flow is likely to be broken. It’s not like giving somebody a phone call, more like trying to speak a message with two entities (the medium & his/her spiritual guide/s) translating in between. Not all spirits will respond to the summons of a psychic, some spirits prefer not to intervene with the process of grieving or the process of life.

Thanks to mediumship, we see that our parted loved ones are still there and they still care for us. We will one day see each other again and in the meantime they can see us. They try to guide us as attachments made in earth are strong bonds and most of the time seems happy in communicating with us, never less they are sometimes unable or unwilling in intervening with the things that we need in life to learn for ourselves. They can go into casual (broken) conversation with us but basically communicate solely to stop us grieving, pass a special message and help us carry on with life.

Mediums were persecuted throughout most of our history due to religious seal. Only in the last years, have they been accepted and studied by the scientific community.

The “Society for Psychical Research” carried out an ongoing research into mediumship for over 100 years. They are very scientific in their approach to their study and have proven beyond doubt that the only way to explain away the information received through mediumship is either ESP or contact with the dead.
