Womens sandals,Sandal options for this summer Articles much like other shoes, have always been regarded as a straightforward choice – you get either comfortable ones, or you get fashionable ones.

So, what can we try this summer to keep our feet fashion forward yet comfortable?

The Wedge

This is a godsend for the petite lady. It lifts her up at least two and half inches and elongates shorter legs. The wedge first appeared way back in 1934 when shoe icon, Salvatore Ferragamo used cork and wood for the heel. Ever since then it’s been a premier player in the shoe games and 2012/2013 is no different. This season go bold, pick patterns and flirt with the floral styles on the high street.

The Flat

Although flats look better on a longer leaner leg, petite ladies, don’t be dismayed, you can still wear these but opt for a pointed toe rather than a round stumpy one, unless you have humongous feet. Those who can’t live without their three inches often have a pair of these under the desk. If it’s ultra comfort you are looking for then check out the flats on offer at hotter.com. Some of the shoes are designed with the older lady in mind but they have a secret weapon – millions of air bubbles in the soles.

Whatever style of flat you go for; ballet pumps, Keds or brogues, keep them bright and interesting.

The Deck Shoe

Blue and white stripes are not just for the French, the nautical style comes in every summer and the deck shoe adds a classic nautical edge to any outfit. These come in both a wedge and a flat so choose the perfectly preppy style that suits your body shape.

The Gladiator Sandal

Some might say this trend has been and gone, but judging from both the catwalk and the high street it’s still a firm favorite this summer. Hardly surprising as it’s step up from the regular flip flop, is versatile and adds a funky edge to dresses and shoes. There are some great gladiator style boots currently in the shops. Pick nude or understated tones for unfussy style and comfort.
