A certain degree of intuitive skills is innate in all of us. What changes the playing field is the extent to which these innate inborn talents are honed and used by some people. There are many different psychic abilities in different people. Here is a list of the most common skills amongst us.

Mediums:

The most common psychic skill is the ability to act as a conduit to the dead. These people are called mediums. Most people with a sensitive bent can train themselves to channel the spirits of the dead. This is not without its risks as they can fall prey to malevolent spirits and influences.

Extra Sensory Perception:

There are amongst us people who can see more than most of us can or who can hear things that the others cannot. The five senses of sight, touch, smell, sound and taste have an extra edge with these people who can see, feel, smell, hear or taste more than we can. This ability lets them connect the dots and bridge the gaps intuitively. This is the art of clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience etc

Empathy

Empathy is the ability to feel another person’s emotions or pain. These psychics can feel the others emotional, mental, physical and spiritual energy level and to sense things with the person that others can not readily sense.  

Telekinesis

Spoon bending, making objects fly with just the power of the mind, moving objects from one place to another without touching them in any way , these are all telekinetic sills. These psychics have high energy levels and need very strong focus.

Telepathy

Mind Reading, mind messaging, anything that involves mind to mind contact or communication between two minds without the involvement of the five ordinary senses is telepathy.

Precognition

Precognition is the knowing of future events. These psychics can see what is to come but strict rules about non interference and causality bind them and they will not tell you anything unless you specifically ask. 

Retrocognition

Retrocognition is the knowing of past events especially past lives and what events lead to the present moment.

Psychometry

This is the skill some people have of gaining impressions by touching an object that belongs to somebody else. Especially when there is a traumatic or emotional event associated with the person holding that object, the object is itself imprinted with images and vibes from that event and a psychic can read from it.

Astral Projection

This is the skill by which people leave their physical body and explore the astral planes in their astral bodies.

Pendling & Dowsing

Many psychics use divining rods or pendulums to sense psychic energies or even locate water at depths to dig wells or locate objects.
