In order to receive an accreditation or a good business rating, your shop needs to maintain a certain quality and trustworthiness. You may be able to ask for references from the business and follow-up with previous clientele that had similar brake repair done.

Most likely, though, you are already going to a trustworthy mechanic. It should be said that mechanics often receive a bad rap. Not all mechanics are out to dupe their clientele and you should never assume that this is what is happening. Unless you know brakes yourself, you should give your mechanic the benefit of the doubt.

Brake repair is a necessary cost in the life of your vehicle. Educate yourself so you don’t end up paying more than you need to.
