Ford Figo has a power of 70bhp @6250rpm and torque of 102Nm @4000rpm. Both the models come with five transmission manual gearbox for smooth engine movement. If you are looking forward to transmission, you will find McPherson Strut-Type with Anti-Roll Bar front suspension with Beat LS, while Figo comes with Independent McPherson Strut with Dual Path Mounts. The rear suspension is Compound Link Type and Semi Independent Twist Beam for Beat and Figo respectively. When you are paying that extra 18K for Beat, it is obvious that you will gain something, and that comes in the form of mileage. Beat offers a city mileage of 14.5 kmpl as compared to Figo's 12.5 kmpl. The Chevrolet model also outperforms the Ford model in the highway mileage of 18.6 kmpl as compared to 15.6kmpl.

Ford Figo has an outstanding balance between ride quality & road handling. The suspension is sufficiently compliant, and will keep occupants comfortable over most road conditions. On the highway, the Figo's planted nature enhances comfort levels. The driver is well rewarded with fantastic steering and top class dynamics. The hydraulic steering wheel is direct and offers excellent feedback. Grip levels are strong, with the Figo feeling great around fast corners. Body roll is well controlled with the chassis exuding balance. High speed stability is "big-car-like" making the Figo feel stable at even 140 kph. The ABS assisted brakes received average ratings for feel and effectiveness. However one feels it could use more "bite". The brakes aren't outstanding, but will do the job. Note that the ABS-equipped variant receives larger front disc brakes & rear drums.

Ford Figo has a large number of optional accessories including engine accessories, diesel turbocharger accessories. The small sized Figo car has been the dominator of Ford in Indian marketplace. The sales and profits of this type of car accounts for 80 percent of the total product sales figure of all the Ford cars combined in Indian marketplace. The Ford Company had introduced for the Indian market Figo car in 2010 and the sales and profits growth of Ford in Indian marketplace in those 12 months had almost doubled.

The current Ford Figo Petrol mileage is around 13 km/l on city-roads and 15.6 km/l on freeways whereas its diesel version has an average of 14.8 km/l in urban areas and 19.7 km/l on highway-roads.
