Mitsubishi presents two new products at the Tokyo show
Mitsubishi will present two models in two weeks at the Tokyo show. One
is the concept PX-MIEV II and the other is the Mirage, the new global
brand for the b segment model
The Mirage will the new offer global Mitsubishi in the B segment, but more specifically in emerging countries, as the car will begin to manufacture and sell since March, in Thailand. The model was already advanced in the past Geneva Motor Show under the name Global Small Concept, and now comes the final version of the car, using the Mirage name used by model brand with similar characteristics that I saw the light in the 1970s, and through these lands we knew as a Colt.
This new Mirage measuring 3.71 m in length and promises an interior space suitable for four adults. Its design is more boring that is showcased in this year. But that like it or not, is a secondary issue. The lines of the Mirage were intended to reduce the aerodynamic resistance and hence reducing consumption.
It has an engine three 1.0, power unknown, associated with a CVT box and Start System
Inside, the Mirage continues with simple and boring lines seeking to dominate the functionality and reduce costs of fabrication above all things. Anyway there will be satellite Navigator, automatic climate control, and power mirrors on more equipped versions.
Another novelty is the concept PX-MIEV II. As you know the models are the ones Mitsubishi MIEV electric or hybrid, and this PX is not the exception to the rule.
In this case this is a hybrid SUV plug-in extended range, which relies on two electric engines of 60 kW (one per axle to provide traction at all four wheels, 82 HP each) coupled with an engine with combustion of 2.0 litres of displacement and 95 HP.
When driving in town, the PX-MiEV II is a fully electric vehicle and eco-friendly with a range of up to 50 km. However, in the case required more power, enters action to combustion engine extending autonomy more 800 km, with a combined fuel consumption of 1.67 l / 100 km.
Batteries, as several models of these characteristics, can be charged directly from a power socket. It has all-wheel drive, and one of the electric motors driving shaft front and one rear. The PX-MIEV II 4,66 meters long, and has tires 235/55 R18, more friends than asphalt visit some dirt road. You are rumours that Mitsubishi with the concepts, PX-MIEV (first seen in 2009 Tokyo Motor Show) is anticipating the next Outlander lines.
