Presented at the Detroit past, the future will definitely Subaru Legacy market in 2010. At the Geneva Motor Show will see, for the first time in Europe, this spectacular half saloon with six-cylinder boxer engine and AWD.

Now, to coincide with the twentieth anniversary, the Subaru Legacy Concept is presented in anticipation of the final model that is expected to arrive to the U.S. market in 2010.

The Concept introduces a completely new model, with a wheelbase 7 cm greater than the current Legacy. It has the same technical characteristics of the traction system with symmetrical AWD Subaru usual. It also keeps the boxer configuration engine, but now gives the range a completely new mechanical six-cylinder 3.6-liter displacement (so far it was the stop in a 3-liter 245 hp).

The Subaru Legacy Concept greatly expands the dimensions of the sedan. Its length of 4.80 meters (now 4.67 m), with a width of 1.82 m and a height of 1.50, the battle grows 7 cm to 2.75 m.

The appearance of the Subaru Legacy Concept shows a generous front air intakes, flared wheel arches, bumpers and flippers marked envelopes , which help give it a more muscular and athletic than today. Debuts a new grille design, with a small "spoiler" in its central part joined the Subaru logo. The headlights now charge higher importance with size and technology are turning to LED, daylight and the lights upright.

A striking detail of this Subaru Legacy Concept is the color of its body, painted in very bright and flashy silver that the car will hardly definitive. Another innovation introduced by the Concept is in the rear-view cameras that reduce the size of the exterior mirrors. The interior shows a configuration of four independent seats with a center console which features a large multifunctional touch screen.

On the inside, the Japanese brand has wanted to increase the feeling of space and perceived quality of the materials. An important element is the elimination of the traditional handbrake lever, as the new Legacy incorporates an electric parking brake that is associated to the system hill start aid (Hill Holder System). This place earlier handbrake is now occupied by two cup holders. In addition, drivers who are inclined for Legacy can choose from three different leaflets. Meanwhile, the driver's seat can be configured up to 10 different positions, while the passenger only has four.

Levels of safety and equipment may vary according to the markets in which market the new Subaru Legacy. Series will be offered stability control VDC (Vehicle Dynamics Control), without forgetting the ABS with electronic delivery of the braking force (EBD).

In the chapter on passive safety, will offer front, side, and head curtain airbags for front and rear seats (the latter, will be optional depending on the market).
