Scientific studies have proved that the Dolphins can sleep with one eye closed.  It means,Believe and doubt and doubt your belief... a corporate message from Dolphins Articles while sleeping Dolphins close one eye and the other eye remain open.

This is possible only because the brain of the Dolphins is organized in such a way where one half of the brain would go to rest at a time where the other half will be active.

The evolutionary reason for this unique capability of Dolphins is believed to be for its protection in its ecosystem.  If the animal goes to sleep with both eyes closed in an ecosystem where the predators are plenty, it would easily get preyed to them.  In order to help the animal alert and aware of its surrounding even during sleep, the animal has such unique ability.

Many corporate bosses do exhibit such unique capability of Dolphins.  These bosses appear to give sufficient freedom and autonomy to the subordinates and ensure their full faith in them.  But these bosses will never believe their subordinates fully.  They are always suspicious.  While believing or trusting the subordinates, they also doubt and constantly spy their activities.

Like Dolphins how it sleeps with one eye closed and the other open, these bosses doubt when they trust and trust their doubts.    Such disposition of leadership is neither wise nor deserve any respect.

The question of whether one should trust the subordinates fully or partially is not the scope of the article.  Never display the trust and lack of trust together like how Dolphins exhibit they are sleeping with one eye closed.

When the corporate leaders exhibit such leadership style, they are simply expressing nothing other than they trust none.  When the bosses do not trust the subordinates, there is no autonomy or freedom to the people working below them.

People living in such corporate ecosystem where trust is lacking, the employees always work only towards the how to deal the distrust of the bosses or how to prove that they are extremely trustworthy.

Dolphins have definite reason to have such unique capability.  Nature has provided such capability to Dolphins only to deal the danger that is present in habitat where it lives.   But such behavioural uniqueness or capability, the corporate bosses need not display in the corporate setup as such trait has not utility value either to the boss, corporate or the subordinate.

It is not wise to exhibit the element of suspicion or doubt or lack of trust especially when the boss communicates with the subordinates.    Reveal only trust and validate your doubt quietly.  Win the trust and not the suspicion.   Never be like a Dolphin in your corporate conduct is the management message the corporate leaders must learn from the unique capability of Dolphins.
