Consumers dedicate more time in researching a product and rely on the response and opinions of bloggers and actual users, and companies acknowledge the fact that although a consumer is lured in by the general appearance and the popularity of a product the recommendation of a friend, colleague, or a familiar face typically seals the deal with the final approval of a product.

What is a Brand Ambassador and what does one do?New products and electronic devices such as cell phones and the latest and greatest pocket sized digital cameras can become popular and well know on their own.  With the new trends turning to “Green” and  eco friendly products it seems to be that all interest in no only on the nicest and flashiest but the most environment friendly  as well.   Companies dedicate long and at times countless hours working side by side with the best marketing teams on fresh and innovative ideas that will help get the latest products out and in the hands of as many consumers as possible. Commercials and television advertisements aim to make a mark,Brand Ambassadors Articles to advertise using new and memorable faces or jingles and most companies pay large amounts to celebrities for just a two second face shot or a mention of the product. All these attempts, although eventually do pay off, still leave the prospective consumer with a “Wanting More” feeling.  The electronic and new gadget and product fanatics want to see exactly what a product does, what it could do and they want to try these things out themselves.  Consumers dedicate more time in researching a product and rely on the response and opinions of bloggers and actual users, and companies acknowledge the fact that although a consumer is lured in by the general appearance and the popularity of a product the recommendation of a friend, colleague, or a familiar face typically seals the deal with the final approval of a product.  This is where Brand Ambassadors come in to work their networking magic.  Marketing teams look for motivated and passionate product users and they hire these consumers to work as spokespeople, PR agents and at times sales people with the official title of Brand Ambassadors.Brand Ambassadors use their networking skills as well as list of acquaintances, friends and overall social circles to relay information on new products.  Ambassadors are also hired to attend product release events as well as general events to interact and educate prospective consumers on the latest and greatest products and features as well as coming up with ideas on how to make the product they are advertising a must have and must use item.   A personable and approachable personality is a must in this field, as a majority if not most of the time spent at these events the goal is to interact and with attendees as well as handing out gift items and exchanging information.  The Goal is to keep in contact with and update the consumers with information that will eventually lead them to make a purchase.  While the hours and duties may be extensive the overall experience and knowledge learned can be overly rewarding.  When hired by a company and required to travel most times all expenses are paid and the products an ambassador is given to promote are theirs to keep.   The salary and hourly wages can also be very rewarding.
