The business environment today has become very competitive due to globalization; there is a lot of pressure on business organizations to maintain its position in the market. In order to grow and achieve stability in the International market,Coaching Employees - An essential Step for Employee and Organizational Benefit Articles these organizations have to put in some additional efforts. It is very tough to survive in the competitive market, and there has to be some changes and modifications in the working structures too. Today team efforts are counted as a key to the success of any organization. The integrated work force of an organization helps to decrease the cost of production and maximize profits, and for this we need to have skilled and knowledgeable people to work. It is not necessary that every employee possess the required skills but yes, he can do so if he gets proper training or coaching for the work that he is doing. Coaching employees helps in rejuvenating the otherwise stagnant talents of an existing employee too; it also helps the management to motivate the employees. This will ultimately have a great influence on the productivity, quality, and excellence in the service provided. The employee of an organization should be given a thorough professional coaching on a regular basis so that it can help them to overcome the hurdles in the process, if any, and keep their performance up to the mark. Coaching employees always improves the level of understanding regarding the work that an employee is doing, or would be doing. It helps in identifying solutions, foresees problems and removes the barriers in the process in order to handle the daily work efficiently, without any problems.1) Before coaching employees, make sure that they have basic knowledge of his routine job.2) The employees have to be completely aware of what he is supposed to do and what is expected from him.3) Never coach an employee in a hurry, as the process of coaching employees has to be well planned and the employee who is getting the coaching should be given sufficient amount of time to understand the purpose of coaching, be able to implement the suggestions and update his performance. Most of the time the employees themselves can be a good coach, they can learn a few things on their own while working as they can analyze the mistakes they make, they know the drawbacks and then they themselves can try to find solutions for improvements. A manager should just play the role of an observer and monitor them and keep a check whether or not they are finding the right solution for it. It's the duty of a manager to see that all his employees receive proper coaching for the job they are allotted to do. Untrained employees are less productive but can always turn out to be efficient and productive if the company has a well defined process for coaching employees. This benefits both, the employee as well as the employer, as a well trained and professionally groomed staff is always a boon for the organization; it not only helps smooth functioning of an organization but also builds confidence and a positive attitude in the employee.
