The Certified Industrial Hygienist will visit your workplace to start the Industrial Hygiene Monitoring process.  This professional will look for safety hazards that face each employee in the different job roles that are carried out on a day to day basis.  Any potential hazards will be documented and compiled into a detailed report and given to the management team.  Recommendations for areas of concern will also be included for the company to immediately implement.

 

Some recommendations might be the procedure taken while performing a specific task.  Other recommendations may require new equipment to be utilized that is safer for the employee to utilized while working.  The recommendation could also include safety equipment for the employee to be updated and utilized.  Safety equipment can vary drastically between different job types and demands of the position.  A Certified Industrial Hygienist has an awareness of the products available on the market and ways those could be utilized to protect the employee working.
