Displaying Your Diploma

A diploma may very well be the most important, and most expensive, piece of paper that you ever earn so why just put it away and let it collect dust? That little piece of paper signifies several years of hard work and effort. It is something you should be very proud and like anything else you are proud of, it should be framed and put on display.

When you walk into a professional's office you will often see that they have their diplomas hung on the wall in very nice frames, which is most often because they are proof that they have accomplished what they say they have. While this is not always required for every profession, why not be proud of your accomplishments and hang your diploma as well? There are also times for many people where, after graduating college, they might have a bit of a difficult time finding a job, well if you have your diploma hung on the wall in your home or office it's like saying "I did that I can do anything".

There are many different ways that you can display a diploma and many different types of frames that are available to hold your accomplishments. Sometimes they can even be custom to whatever school it was that awarded the diploma. There have been quite a few debates regarding if it is considered cocky or tacky to display your diploma in an office if you are not in a profession that requires it but it all comes down to if you feel that it is right.

If having it in a public office seems a bit much for your situation then there are many other options. You could display your diploma on a wall in your home, or even on a bookshelf. If you have a desk at home that is a great place to display your diploma as well.

Regardless of where you decide to display your diploma, whether it is hanging on a wall in the office, or it is prominently displayed in your home, or even if you do want to just put it away in a closet or a draw, framing your diploma is a great way to preserve the document for the future. Framing your diploma will help ensure that your diploma does not get damaged in any way, so you can continue to be reminded of all that you have worked so hard to accomplish.
