Although this may seem strange to some people, my own view is that the reality is that we are usually busy concentrating on getting results. We want to get our work done successfully and it rarely seems as though the actual setting is important in this context. Indeed, if you are the owner of the business, you may not see this as being any sort of priority at all.

Your days may already be filled with the need to speak to suppliers and to ensure that customers are kept happy. How can you be expected to take a look at the broader picture? You may also feel that staff members must be happy with the office environment generally, since most offices look the same.

But is this really true? You may have noticed that employees occasionally grumble about particular aspects of the working environment, but this only appears to be natural. Many people may sit and work in the same building, but it would not be wise to assume that they all share the same experiences and opinions. It can be too easy to dismiss some issues. You should remember that views will be shaped by individual experiences and there may be an impact that can be observed as a result of individuals carrying out different roles.
