Funny Stories from your Office Christmas Party

We have been inundated with funny stories from the recent office christmas parties so we thought it was only right to put together a compilation of “what not to do” and send it round to everyone! Hopefully embarrassing situations can be avoided in the future – it’s also pretty funny to watch so forward this link to anyone you know who organises their staff Christmas Party or needs cheering up in these gloomy times! If we can stop one person from making a fool of themselves it would have been worth it!!

It seems that most of the funny stories revolve around three things,Funny Stories from your Office Christmas Party Articles alcohol, being rude to the boss and dancing so we have focussed on these!

Alcohol

It goes without saying that it is best not to drink too much at your office party. Whether you have your event in the office or at one of the many exclusive or shared office Christmas Parties you will be around senior managers, promotion decision makers and office gossips so make sure you can remember everything or you may be the centre of attention come Monday morning!
Have a look at the video below which should put you off that quadruple vodka red bull!!

Dancing

For some party guests the company event is all about dancing round their handbags with a drink in one hand and the office hunk in the other but for others it fills them with dread. It is often the scared people who will stand out most on the dance floor so here is our tip: if you wouldn’t normally dance when out with friends it is probably best not to dance at the Christmas party!!

This video is a classic and we all know someone who it could be!!

We’re not sure if this is even at a party but it is brilliant!

This is a definite “No-No”!!!!

Keep quiet – the boss could be about!

Don’t forget that it takes a lot of hard work to organise the staff party, often around busy schedules and other work commitments so make sure you say thank you, and if you don’t think the party is very good, keep quiet, you never know who may be standing behind you! This video is a classic example of why you should think twice before making your feelings about the company and the party known!:

The worst case scenario if it all goes wrong at the party is that someone gets fired. We think some grovelling and a sincere apology is probably the best way forward and lets hope you get your job back!

This video is probably not the best way to find out you’re still employed!!

If you have ignored this advice!

If you have ignored the above tips and have made a fool of yourself, insulted your boss while dancing naked with the guy from IT then we thought it was best to help you out of a sticky situation:

Apologise as soon as you realise that a mistake has been made. Things very rarely stay a secret in an office environment so it is best to face your demons in a professional manner and apologies to all that may have been offended or hurt. At least that way you will have a chance to tell your side of the story!

Your Company Christmas Party just got safer!
