It may prove to be one of your favorite pieces of furniture over time, and here is why. It is made of solid wood. It’s not clear exactly what wood it is made of, but it is very solid wood, as opposed to particle boards with vinyl strewn over it. This wood, is solid, heavy, real wood. The grains of the wood are obvious when the light is shined upon it. At $1300.00 via amazon, i was not so sure what to expect. The finish is excellent, and all of the desk drawers function, fit, and operate just fine. All drawers are flush when closed, and the rollers work like butter.

The dark and rich brown stain is very good looking, and overall the desk has a smart appearance. The desk top is gigantic, and has plenty of room for the essentials such as a lamp, pictures of the family, and yes, the almighty desk top computer. Also i am six feet tall, and i would say that anyone up to six feet four or so should feel right at home at this desk.

This desk is modular, and it arrives in for already assembled large component parts. There is the desk top, two bases, and then a kick plate for the middle. This desk can be taken apart and moved to a new house if ever the need arises. The desk is very computer worthy. Two holes are available to run cables through at the top, and it has a surge protector built into it. That is sweet. The desk comes with very accurate assembly instructions, and perfectly crafted tools to enable such assembly. However you will need three people, including yourself, to assemble this beast.

The product came well packaged, with sturdy foam, plastic, and boxes, and there was no damage upon inspection. Takes about a week or so to arrive, as it is made in China.

Other features are the desk comes with a real leather writing space atop the desk, and it’s quite nice to have. The top drawers are lined with a type of felt, and the pen, pencil tray is nicely cove shaped. This desk can be optioned with matching book cases and also with a file cabinet. Very nice touch indeed, and looks great all together.

My rating is a four out of five because clearly it’s not the greatest desk in the world. But yes it is a four star desk for sure. User friendly in all ways, very comfortable, and appears to be quite durable for the long haul. Just check it out online, or look it up on amazon. Cheers.
