The best part is you do not have anyone standing over you critiquing your ability. You will know when you are ready to move on to the next lesson. You do not need an instructor for that.
No matter which path you choose, the guitar is a great instrument to learn how to play. It will give you years of enjoyment if you learn to play it well.
